The realism has improved dramatically — 2024-25 output is in the uncanny-valley-just-cleared zone for most viewers. And the ethical question of AI avatars (especially personalised sales videos at scale) is real — viewers increasingly detect them and may react negatively. My take: if you produce content where 'a person speaking to camera' format works (sales, marketing, training, social media), HeyGen is a serious productivity unlock.
